Early Life and Background

Deji Olatunji was born on December 9, 1996, in Watford, Hertfordshire, England. He is the younger brother of fellow YouTuber Olajide "KSI" Olatunji. Deji's father, Jide Adamulla Olatunji, hails from Ibadan, Nigeria, while his mother, Yinka Atinuke, is from Islington, London. The family later relocated to Peterborough, England, where Deji currently resides with his parents. 

YouTube Career

Deji began his YouTube journey in 2011 under the username "ComedyShortsGamer." Initially, he focused on gaming content, featuring commentary on games like Halo 3 and FIFA. Over time, his channel evolved to include comedic skits, pranks, and viral challenges, often involving his family members. His engaging and humorous content quickly gained popularity, leading to a significant increase in subscribers. As of May 2025, Deji's main channel has amassed over 12 million subscribers and over 4 billion views. 

Boxing Career

In addition to his YouTube success, Deji ventured into boxing, making his amateur debut in 2018 against fellow YouTuber Jake Paul. Although he lost the match via technical knockout, Deji's interest in boxing persisted. He faced several other opponents in exhibition matches, including Vinnie Hacker and Alex Wassabi, experiencing mixed results. In 2022, Deji made his professional boxing debut against YouTuber Fousey, securing a victory via technical knockout in the third round. He followed this up with a win against rapper Swarmz in 2023. Notably, Deji faced boxing legend Floyd Mayweather Jr. in an exhibition bout in November 2022, where he managed to land a punch that left Mayweather with a black eye. 

Personal Life and Ventures

Deji has been involved in various other ventures. He appeared in the 2016 comedy film Laid in America, which starred his brother KSI and YouTuber Caspar Lee. In 2017, Deji authored a graphic novel titled Kung Fu Hero and the Forbidden City. Despite receiving criticism for its content, the book showcased his creative aspirations beyond YouTube. 

Throughout his career, Deji has experienced public feuds, notably with his brother KSI. In 2018, a significant altercation led to a temporary fallout between the siblings. However, they have since reconciled, and Deji has continued to support KSI's ventures, including his involvement in Misfits Boxing.
